Health Benefits of Chocolate

Chocolate has great benefits for your health. Most of the people in this world love chocolate, but not many know the health benefits of chocolate for your body. Not only tastes good and tempting, it turns out chocolate also contain substances that are beneficial to our bodies, even many experts recommend us to eat one or two ounces of chocolate every day. These health benefits of chocolate for:
1. High in antioxidants
Chocolate contains flavanols, a type of flavanoid found only in brown. Flavonoids are naturally occurring compounds in plant foods and acts as an antioxidant and helps counteract the free radicals in the body.

2. Lowering blood pressure and cholesterol
Dark chocolate has been shown in studies to lower blood pressure in people with high blood pressure. And eat dark chocolate regularly have been shown to reduce LDL cholesterol by 10 percent.
3. Anti-depressants
Chocolate contains serotonin, a natural anti-depressant. Chocolate also stimulates production of endorphins, which create a feeling of happiness and pleasure. In fact, one study found that melting chocolate in the mouth produces a sense of excitement for longer than passionate kissing. This may explain why many people experience when they are reaching distressed brown.
4. Cancer prevention
Several studies have found chocolate to be one of the best cancer fighting foods along with foods such as red wine, blueberries, garlic, and tea. Two ways that chocolate works as a cancer fighter is to inhibit cell division and reducing inflammation, although research is ongoing and will probably find additional ways in which the chocolate against cancer.
5. Prevent tooth decay
Studies have found that theobromine in chocolate to prevent tooth decay by removing the streptococcus mutans, a bacterium found in the oral cavity that contribute to tooth decay.
6. Artery cleanup
Research has shown that the antioxidants in chocolate works like a broom sweeping the plaque out of arteries.
